My suggestion would be to create a copy of the website on one of our staging (testing) servers which would be less risky than working on the live website. We would also have better access to server elements and support should we need to resolve any technical issues outside our control compared with the current server hosted with Hostinger.
Once the website is configured/updated and we are happy with the website’s performance, we could either replace the old website with the new updated website and/or make the testing website live.
I would recommend using the new server as opposed to the existing Hostinger service as we have increased performance, more control plus 24/7 technical support should it be needed. – Cost wise, would increase the current monthly hosting/management package to £70.00 plus VAT pm.
(the current hosting package will be increasing to £60.00 plus VAT p/m in April)
I will need to confirm costs to make a copy the website and set up a staging (testing) server but would estimate around £100.00 plus VAT
Initially I will set up Mark as a user, for him to install & configure the necessary plug in’s. Hopefully if all goes to plan then it will be a case of making the website live once ready.
Extra development elements i.e. listed page updates, creation of new pages, amendments to navigation menu’s etc. from our end would be charged at our normal rate.
If you are happy to proceed on this basis, simply let me know and I will start to organise the above.
